North Bay Automotive is the realization of founder Chad Grammer’s passion for mechanics. Grammer built a motorcycle at age 13 and went on to race cars. His love for automotive work grew through his high school auto shop program and various jobs at local shops and a dealership.
After nine years at a dealership, Grammer decided to follow his dream of owning his own shop, and in 2007, he opened his first location. By 2013, North Bay Automotive opened at its current location at 1305 10th St, Arcata, CA, becoming a trusted auto shop in Arcata with a reputation for clean, professional service.

- Review and Communicate: You can review the reports, view photos of your vehicle’s condition, and communicate directly with us what work you’d like to have done on your car. If you’d like to come into the shop to talk to us and look at the recommended work on your vehicle, we welcome that.
